The start of a new year, with lots and lots of changes in the last one! No longer a stay at home mom, I'm a workin' girl now.....no, not the corners, either. Got a job at a bank, they pay me to sit on my butt, visit with people and give out money.....sweet! One itty-bitty problem, they won't let me knit, except at lunch, can you believe it? I like the ladies I work with and we laugh quite a bit, so it's not a bad gig.
One kid in college, another heading that way, where have the years gone? What is my house going to be like when they're all gone? Well, besides clean, anyway. Yet another in driver's ed, 4...count 'em....4 teen-age drivers. My baby is going to be in high school next year.
After more years, dollars and miles than I can count, no more volleyball for my girls. What do I do with that......find some new, younger girls to bend to my will.....fun for all!
Friends have moved away, a friendship lost. One friend who's husband is set to deploy to Iraq in June. New babies in our family, more on the way.
I miss my knit group. Very rarely do I get to go anymore with my late hours, but the last time I met some new friends who are very fun. And it all began with a conversation about little dickies.....who knew? I really love the ladies in my group. They are all such a joy to me, no subject off limits, sometimes quite, sometimes raunchy, always the best.
No matter my complaints, I have enjoyed being a stay at home mom. I miss it quite a bit, but I feel good about working again, too. So many blessings in one life.
